Share Your CBS Story Become A Monthly Donor

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

We offer in-person classes at Mountain Brook Community Church, online classes on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings and remote in-person classes in Tuscaloosa on Thursday mornings and in the West Pensacola/Gulf Shores Area on Tuesday mornings.

ABOUT THE CLASS

This is a Women's Class

MON at 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM

This is a women's, children's and teens class that meets in person at Mountain Brook Community Church in Birmingham, Alabama.

We also offer women's Monday night online classes, Tuesday morning online classes and remote classes that meets in Tuscaloosa on Thursday morning and the West Pensacola/Gulf Shores Area on Tuesday morning.

Currently Studying: Colossians, Genesis

We will start off the new year with a newly published study in the Book of Genesis and end with the book of Colossians.

Course Descriptions:

GENESIS - Although Genesis is an ancient book, it speaks to some of the biggest questions we have today: Is there a God? If so, what is He like? Why is there evil in the world? Why are we here, and where can we find purpose and hope? In this course, which covers the first 22 chapters of Genesis, participants will see that God created a beautiful world and gave people a noble calling in His creation. It explains how our world was fractured by human rebellion and presents the beginnings of God’s plan to put everything back together.

COLOSSIANS - Colossians is a letter written to combat error in the church. Paul pointed the believers at Colossae to Jesus as the Head of His body, the church. Paul also told the Colossian believers that they had fullness in Christ.

Next Gen Ministry

The Birmingham Women's Evening Class of CBS offers a children’s Bible study for children through the 5th grade who register with their mothers or caregivers for in-person study on Monday Nights at Mountain Brook Community Church. We also have teen core groups for girls and boys grades 6-12. Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, music, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives. We welcome your children to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS Next Gen Ministry.
